One of our big margin win in recent games.
A great right flank run by Spencer in the early minutes attracted a foul by opponent defender and we were given a penalty. Without any mistake and hestitation, Adrian delivered the goal straight into the net in the penalty kick.
Opponent, a Malay team consisting quite a number of youngsters came back with three goals through some counter attacks and shooting within the penalty box. Colin got us second goal through a header from a corner kick. First half we down by 2:3.
We did exceptionally well in second half with stunning performace from Alex and Clarence who scored 3 and 2 goals respectively. Both of them just outclassed opponent's defender with the speed and fitness and scored some great goals.
With only 13 players turn up and Adrian half fit with cough, it was great we managed to put up a great performance. Well done guys and great team work displayed in this game!!!

Alpha Game - Pasir Ris Crescent Sec (14/08/11)
A good promising start into the game after Ben bang in two goals in the early minutes and gave us a comfortable lead.
The opponent then made a few substitution and slowly got back into the game and surprised us by scoring three goals and we were down by 2:3 at half time.
Second half saw Richard back to last man post which was much needed to form a solid and reliable defence for countering the opponent attack.
It didn't take very long for Kenny who played as stopper scored our third goal through a header from a corner kick. Tie at 3:3, our moral was up and we aimed for more goals especially with Ben and Kent around.
Casey Chia scored our fourth goal after receiving a great pass from Kent during a counter attack.
Wan took the fifth one from another corner kick which saw the ball curved straight into the goal post. Colin returning to the game in second half during the last few minutes of the game, whacked in our final goal within the penalty box in less than a minute of appearance.

Alpha Game - East View Sec (24/07/11)
It might be one of our best game for this season !!!
Opponent is a Malay team donning jersey similar to EPL team Blackburn Rover seems to be well organised and disciplined.
Edmund finally came out from injury, playing his first game after many months of resting. And Jimmy started off as striker partnering Alex.
Interestingly, we had a good start, putting pressure on the opponent and scored the first goal of the game through Kenny.
A few moment before first half, a mis-communication between Edmund and Richard allowed the opponet scored an easy goal and scoreline tied at 1 : 1.
The opponent came out fiercely and aggresively in the second half with a change of several years and got their early second goal.
We withstood their waves of attack especially Jimmy, replacing Edmund as keeper in the end of first half, had a couple of good saves. With a great combination of play between Kenny, Alex and Casey Chia, Alex stormed in our second goal through a distance shot.
The game getting a bit rough as opponent seemed uneasy with the 2:2 draw.
It didn't take very long for Alex to score our third goal through a solo forceful run involving getting through one - two defenders.

Alpha Game - Greendale Sec (10/07/11)
"A game lost for what??" a remark from Siew summed up the undesired result of the game.
A very good start of the game leading 3:1 in the first half. Alex scored in early minutes followed by Adrian penalty kick and Richard wrapped up the third goal during a one-to-one face up with the keeper.
Credit given to the opponet (forex team ??) coming back from behind through some great goals and won the match by 4:3.
Great to have Kenny and Alex back with us and once again they proved their worth to the team.

Alpha Game - Tampines Safra (26/06/11)
A game dedicated to our dear brother late Desmond Chua.
A minute of silence was observed before the game and we played with a black tape on our arm.
With two nils down in first half, we fought hard in second half to get back into the game and scored two consecutive goals in the last 10 minutes or so.
Behind by one goal at 3:4, Richard missed out a golden opportunity in front of the goal post to tie the game just a few seconds before the ending whistle.

Alpha Game - Macpherson Sec (15/05/11)
Another low turn up game due to travelling of some of the players.
We got a few guest players for this game to make up the number and it turned up a very evenly match game with the opponent.
First half draw at 1:1. And second half opponent and us each has own fair of chance but they managed to click in a soft goal through a header.
Great to see Trevor back after a while and he played a great game as a stopper. Appreciation to Edmund for supporting the team by introducing players for us when need arise and also on court side supporting us.

Alpha Game - Siglap Sec - (01/05/11)
A very heart warming game which we really pull up as a team and play our heart out till the end.
With missing some of our key scorers like Ben, Kent and only 12 players turned up, it is a great challenge that we managed to stick to our game plan and play tactically as per instruction.
Amazingly we scored in the early minutes through Colin, who has established himself as a forward with solid shooting and dribbling skill. The opponent however bounced back with one goal before half time.
Second half we created many chances but failed to convert them into goal and it is the opponent who scored their second goal first through a lapse of our defence.
After continuous attempts, we eventually levelled up the scoreline through Wan's freekick during the last few minutes of the game.
Opponent - "Kinta Ranger" is an family oriented Malay team with many family supporters cheering on side with them.

Alpha Game - Sengkang Sec - (13/03/11)
Another great game with almost the same players turn up from our previous big margin win. But the opponent of this game was much stronger and gave us a good fight.
Captured on the opponent slow start to the game, we scored early two goals through Ben and Adrian. But opponet progressively build up their momentum and got back to the game with 1 goal through a long range shot.
But it didn't take very long for Chee Toong inking his first mark in Alpha score chart history by rifling in an first-timer shot just inside the penalty box and the game settled with 3 -1 at half time.
Second half opponent scored their second goal in very early minutes through a fast and precise counter attack and matched us well in many aspects for most of the time. The opponent did miss a few golden opportunities including one or two open goal.
But Ben and Kent hit in one goal each at later stage to give us a secure and safer lead till the end of the game. A great and challenging 5:2 win!

An opening goal in early minutes and a finishing goal in seconds before the final whistle by Kent sealed up our astonishing 10 to nothing win at Siglap.
We probably had assembled one of the strongest team for the game. With the luxury of having Kenny/Alex as stopper and last man and Ben/ Kent as striker and forward, we were all set for fire from the early minutes. First half leaded 4:0 and followed by another 6 goals in the second half.
Definitely will be a victory that will last long in the Alpha record book. A 10 to nothing win at Siglap Sec Sch where we played our first game as an informal Alpha team many years ago even made the win a more memorable one. Thank God for the Perfect 10 with a Perfect Timing.

Alpha Game - Bedok Green Sec - (23/01/11)
Another "never say die" attitude displayed by the team. A sluggish start saw us down by 3 -1 in first half but we played a very positive game in second half and came back by two goals. If not one of Adrian long shoot hit the post, crossed the line but bounced out was missed out and disallowed by the referee, we should be managed to tie the game at 4 - 4.
With only 13 players turned up plus Chee Toong sprained his ankle in first half and Edmund's recurrent back pain in the mid of second half, most of the 11 players played full game and hang on well. Richard was effective in commanding the defence and Siew was so industrious in running up and down as left back and right back.
It was great to see Adrian, Jimmy and Simon scored one each after a long time.

Alpha Humour - Choosing A Lawyer
A businessman was trying to choose a lawyer, but was being very careful about it. He scheduled appointments to interview three lawyers.
At the first lawyer’s office, after an initial exchange of pleasantries, the businessman said, “Okay, let’s get down to business. I have an important question for you, and I want you to think carefully before answering. How much is two plus two?”
The lawyer raised his eyebrows. “two plus two is four.” The businessman thanked him for his time, and proceeded to his next appointment.
The second lawyer, who was also a CPA, seemed a bit more particular than the first lawyer. After an initial discussion, the businessman again announced that he had a very important question, and asked, “How much is two plus two?”
The second lawyer went over to a computer, and entered figures into a spreadsheet. “According to my calculations, two plus two is approximately four.” The businessman thanked him for his time, and proceeded to his next appointment.
The third lawyer sat behind a big mahogany desk, and smoked a cigar. He seemed rather self-important as compared to the other two, but at the same time appeared to be much more successful. The businessman again announced, “I would like you to answer a very important question for me, before I decide whether I should use your services. How much is two plus two?”

Alpha Game - Punggol Sec - (09/01/11)
Probably it was one of the strongest bounce back game you would had witnessed in either any international or local football match. It might attract CAD attention if it was a S-League game (especially a few of our fellow mates - Quek brothers and Desmond were on the opponent side)!!!
Down with 4 : 1 in first half, WHO will dare to predict we would eventually ended up as the WINNER of the game when the referee blowed up the final whistle. And the delighting fact was we WON the game by scoring 4 goals and stopping the opponent from scoring any single goal in the next 45 minutes.
We had a slow start and conceded four loose goals but Alex (guest) managed to pull in one goal to boost up the spirit and kept our HOPE alive.
However, second half was a different story. We seemed like transformed into another team. We tighten up the defence, more running, better passing, crossing and kept on putting pressure on the opponent.
With high and persistence work rate from the team, it was not too long we were rewarded with goals - 1 free kick from Kenny and a hatrick from Kent (guest). There were some good run and skill display by our two attackers Kent (guest) and Alex (guest) which produced goal.

Thanks to Wan, we had a early kick off for the 2011 season!
Behind by one goal in the first half, we levelled up in very early seconds in the start of second half initiated by a deep peneration drill by Spencer into the opponent penalty box which eventually scored by our guest - Kent.
The opponent scored their second goal but we again tied up the game later by a great partnership between two guests - Casey and Kent.
The No 3 keeper - Chee Toong was voted Man-Of-The Match by his teammates for his brillant save of a penaly shootout.
Overall, we played a good game against a on par and respectful Malay team.
